Central Hawkeye Gas Engine & Tractor Association was started in the spring of 1970 as Branch 11 of the Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association. It was incorporated on February 5, 1972 with the purpose "to promote the collection, restoration, preservation, education and the exhibition of gasoline and oil engines, gas and steam tractors, power driven farm machinery and other articles of historical value".
Central Hawkeye holds two events each year - A 3 day Swap Meet around Memorial Day weekend, and a 2 day summer show the 3rd full weekend of July. We hold these events on 60 acres of land, 7 miles west of Des Moines, Iowa on I-80 Waukee Exit 117.
Come experience the past or reminisce with us!
